Our client is a premier multi-business complex in Nairobi that hosts corporate offices and residential apartments. They are seeking to recruit a highly experienced, proactive, and results-oriented Security Manager to lead the security function and ensure the safety of tenants, visitors, staff, and assets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization’s security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Manage all physical security operations across the business complex, ensuring 24/7 security coverage.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate both in-house and outsourced security personnel.
• Oversee access control systems, CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, visitor management, and key control procedures.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Investigate security incidents, theft, vandalism, accidents, and other breaches, preparing comprehensive incident reports.
• Liaise with the police, emergency services, regulatory agencies, and other relevant stakeholders on security matters.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including evacuation drills and business continuity planning.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and relevant security regulations.
• Prepare security budgets, manage departmental resources, and monitor contractor performance.
• Provide regular security reports and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, Security Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP, CSMP) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years’ progressive security management experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing commercial properties, business parks, etc.
• Strong knowledge of electronic security systems, CCTV, access control, fire safety systems, and emergency response planning.
• Experience managing outsourced security service providers.
• Sound understanding of Kenyan security laws, occupational safety requirements, and risk management principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, report writing, investigation, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
