Financial Accountant

Location: Nairobi, KE (with willingness to travel to field locations)

Our client in property management and farming operations is seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Accountant to provide leadership in financial management, reporting, compliance and financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting and financial planning.
• Oversee cash management, payables, receivables, payroll, investments and treasury functions.
• Prepare management accounts, financial statements, cash flow forecasts and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory and regulatory requirements, including KRA requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls and coordinate internal and external audit processes.
• Monitor budget utilization, project/donor expenditure and financial performance.
• Provide financial insights to management and support prudent resource utilization.
• Develop and implement accounting and financial policies and procedures.
• Supervise the finance function and promote accountability, integrity and transparency.

Requirements

• CPA (K) or ACCA is required. A bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP, QuickBooks, Sage 300 and Excel.
• Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team.
• Commitment to ethics and integrity.
• Willingness to travel to field locations.
